Elko County Student is the 2023 Poetry Out Loud Nevada Champion!
Congratulations to Elko High School junior Ashlee Sandoval who was named the 2023 Poetry Out Loud Nevada champion at the state competition on March 11 in Reno. She competed against five other participants from Clark, Eureka, Lyon, Story, and Washoe County.
Sandoval will travel Washington, D.C. to represent our state at nationals in May.
