Substitute Teachers and Bus Drivers Needed

Elko County School District is in need of licensed substitute teachers and substitute bus drivers for the 2021–2022 school year. To qualify for a license to substitute teach in kindergarten through twelfth grade, a person must:

  1. Be a citizen of the United States, or be a lawful permanent resident of the United States with a valid permanent resident card.
  2. Have earned a minimum of sixty (60) semester credits, or an associate’s degree or higher, from a regionally accredited college or university, as reflected on an official transcript.

Substitute teacher hourly rate of pay is $16.05 per hour or $128.40 per day. To obtain a license, interested candidates should visit the Nevada Department of Education website to begin their application. Next, applicants will need to obtain fingerprints from a local agency. Once the DOE processed the fingerprints, the applicant will need to submit their final application to ECSD along with their license.
