Adobe Stucco made an ornament for the 2025 U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree. The 10,000 ornaments drive to represent Nevada was put on by the Forest Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture. The theme they selected was "Home Means Nevada".

Elko County School District is partnering with Raising Highly Capable Kids to offer a free, 13-week parenting course in Elko, Jackpot, Owyhee, Wells, and West Wendover.
The course will be taught by our own ECSD school professionals and is open to parents and guardians with children enrolled in ECSD—at no cost.
We’re still finalizing dates for each community and would love to hear what days and times work best for you. Planning to participate in middle school sports? An athlete is required to get a new physical every year and have a current sports physical on file at the school before you can take part. The required physical form is available on our school website.

⚽Intramural Soccer Grows in Second Year with More Teams, New Format, and First-Ever Tournament
The intramural soccer program wrapped up an exciting second year with several major milestones, marking a period of growth and progress for student athletics.
Unlike last year’s coed format, this season introduced separate divisions for girls and boys—giving more students the opportunity to participate and compete in a setting tailored to their interests. The change proved to be a success, with more teams joining the league and increased enthusiasm across the board.
Another first this year was the introduction of an end-of-season tournament. This new addition added a competitive edge and a climactic finish to the season, bringing energy and excitement to the final weeks of play.
⚽Congratulations to all the teams that participated this season! Your effort, teamwork, and sportsmanship made this year’s program a true success.
⚽AMS #1 Triumphs Over AMS #2 in Intramural Boys Soccer Championship Showdown
In a thrilling conclusion to the intramural soccer season, AMS #1 edged out AMS #2 to claim the championship title. Both teams entered the finals as the tournament’s top seeds—AMS #1 ranked first and AMS #2 close behind in second—setting the stage for a highly anticipated and evenly matched showdown. Ultimately, AMS #1’s cohesive play and determination led them to a hard-fought victory, securing their place as this year’s champions.
Congratulations to both teams for an outstanding season and a memorable final game!
⚽Underdog Victory: SCMS #1 Upsets Top Seed to Win Intramural Girls Soccer Championship
In a stunning turn of events, SCMS #1 captured the intramural soccer championship title, defeating top-seeded AMS #1 in an unforgettable final match. SCMS #1 entered the tournament as the third seed but defied the odds with strong teamwork, smart strategy, and relentless effort. The victory marks a remarkable underdog story and a proud moment for SCMS. Congratulations to SCMS #1 on their championship win and to all teams for a competitive and exciting season!
