For the second month in a row, a student from Grammar No. 2 Elementary School has been selected as a winner in the Nevada State Treasurer’s Office Perfect Attendance Challenge.
Oliver Salo was named one of three statewide winners for his perfect attendance in October. He will receive a $529 contribution to a 529 College Savings Plan, recognizing his commitment to showing up each day and taking an active role in his future success.
This marks a rare and exciting achievement for the Elko County School District, as Grammar No. 2 is now home to two consecutive winners. Faith White was named one of the first winners of the challenge in September.

The statewide initiative is open to all Pre-K through fifth-grade students who achieve perfect attendance during each month of the school year. Schools submit eligible students’ names to the Treasurer’s Office, and three winners are drawn each month.
The Elko County School District congratulates Oliver Salo and Grammar No. 2 Elementary for this remarkable accomplishment and continues to encourage students and families to stay committed to daily attendance and lifelong learning.
