Raidera Trainign Camp

On Thursday, August 28, representatives from the Las Vegas Raiders, including Senior Director of Football Development Myles Hayes, partnered with the American Heart Association to bring football drills and fun to students and staff. The camp featured quarterback, running back, wide receiver and defense stations—all designed to get kids moving and learning about heart health.

This visit was part of a wellness grant the school won last year through the American Heart Association’s Kids Heart Challenge, led by P.E. teacher Jeanni Baumann. The $10,000 grant from the NFL and the American Heart Association funded a gym makeover that includes a new rock climbing wall. The Raiders also donated $5,000 worth of fitness equipment to the school.

Mountain View’s celebration reflects a larger commitment to promoting physical activity, heart health and lifelong wellness habits in schools across the country.
