Dale Beach, Priscilla Kraintz, and Wade Morgan were selected as the Elko County School District’s February Staff and Teachers Achieving Results with Students (STARS) award recipients.

Dale Beach, an English teacher at Elko High School (EHS), received multiple nominations for the Employee Recognition STARS Program. Students and colleagues praise her exceptional dedication to teaching and her ability to inspire students to reach their full potential. Student Sophia Green said, "Mrs. Beach is a big part of Elko High School…She believes everyone has potential and even on our worst days, brings out the best in all of us." Another anonymous nomination read, “I have observed her helping students both before and after school, and I have seen her go the extra mile for her students including my own child.”

Priscilla Kraintz, a special educator at EHS, was nominated by three anonymous individuals who commend her as an outstanding educator. One nominator praises her as "an amazing educator to work with in the classroom as an inclusion teacher" and notes her seamless collaboration with the school district and parents for her IEP students. Another nominator highlights her as "a shining example of the type of educator we should all aspire to become." They emphasize her tireless efforts to help students regardless of background.

Wade Morgan, the Building Supervisor at Liberty Peak Elementary, was nominated for his proactive approach to his job duties and his dedication to the safety of the school. According to the nominator, Wade "continually goes above and beyond his job duties by proactively getting ahead," which has proven beneficial for the safety and well-being of students, staff, and families. They commend Wade's willingness to assist in various situations, stating that he is "quick to lend a hand" with tasks like "airing up a tire, jumping a car or even changing a tire for a staff member or parent."

Recognition of these deserving employees would not be possible without sponsors: LeeAnne's Floral Designs, Maverick Gaming, The Star, and Rotary Club of Elko Desert Sunrise.

Staff, students and the general public are all encouraged to nominate a school district employee who demonstrates exceptional performance and commitment to the education of all students served by the district’s schools.

The nomination form can be found on the STARS webpage on the Elko County School District website.
