Online registration opens Monday, April 18 for kindergarten, Pre-K, and any new student to Elko County School District beginning school in the fall of 2022. To begin the registration process, please go to our Registration and Immunization page. New Age Guidelines for Kindergarteners

The 2021 Nevada legislature amended the age guidelines for kindergarten for all public and charter schools. For the 2022–2023 school year, *children must be five years of age on or before Monday, August 29, 2022, or the first day of school.

*Exceptions apply: For the 2022–2023 school year only, any student who completed pre-kindergarten during the 2021–2022 school year who is five (5) years of age on or before September 30, 2022, may still attend kindergarten. This pre-kindergarten program may have been offered at a home school, private school, or public school. Please complete the affidavit of pre-kindergarten completion and provide it to your zoned school.

You can complete registration online beginning April 18; however, the district will hold two in-person registration sessions on Thursday, April 21 and Friday, April 22 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the board room at central office, 850 Elm Street, Elko, NV 89801.

Pre-K Age Guidelines

Children must be four (4) years of age on or before August 29, 2022, or the first day of school, in order to enroll in an ECSD pre-K program.

Documents Needed for Registration

  • The student’s original birth certificate
  • The student’s current immunization record from a health care provider
  • Proof of residence such as a utility bill showing parent name and address

Documents can be uploaded when completing registration online. For assistance, parents/guardians may provide these documents to their child(ren)'s zoned school. If attending an in-person session, please bring these documents with you.
