The mission of the Curriculum Department is to provide Elko County School District students with a sequence of courses that lead to college and career readiness upon graduation.
Each content area undergoes the following systematic review process on a rotating schedule:
- Align the district’s curriculum with state standards.
- Create new district curriculum documents.
- Adopt textbooks.
- Update course offerings to facilitate new curriculum requirements.
District Performance Plan
Central office administration and the student test data coordinator analyze data overall and by sub populations. Data is reviewed at the district level and then reviewed by individual schools with site administration. For more information, please read our district performance plan in its entirety.
GBC Dual Credit Courses
We’re honored to hold an agreement with Great Basin College, which allows Elko County students to get a head start on their college career by enrolling in dual credit courses. Dual credit courses offer high school students simultaneous college and high school credit. Please see the Dual Credit Master List for more detailed information.
